Did you know that it is world breastfeeding week?
When I first began my nursing journey with sweet Pippa girl, I had no idea how difficult it truly would be. Sparing you the details, once Pippa was 2 months old I remember breastfeeding her and realized it FINALLY did not hurt! 2 MONTHS!!! From that point on it was such a sweet sacrifice that bonded the two of us together.
The downside to breastfeeding or pumping for me was the lack of clothes. I remember getting ready for church the Sunday after Pippa was born and put on a dress that hadn’t fit for almost 9 months! Right before leaving the house I realized there was no way I would be able to nurse in that blue shift dress. HUGE disappointment!
I quickly put on my maternity / nursing friendly dress that was my go to and left for church.
Nursing bras, shirts with zippers and easy access for nursing became my new every day norm. Basically, I wore the same 4 pieces each day because it was easy. For 12 months my wardrobe was most definitely minimalist.
When Madison and I created the Poppin Peony our goal was to curate a line of beautiful clothing for woman to feel gorgeous and confident in. There was clearly a lack of beautiful nursing friendly designs for mothers and we are here to change that up!
Below are a few of my FAVORITE designs and each of them are nursing friendly and easy access for pumping or breastfeeding a baby! These rompers and dresses have a snap button or a full button down top.
